Caribbean Studies Forum
The objective of the Caribbean Studies Forum is to connect a diverse body of academics to promote the field of Caribbean Studies. The organization is a scholarly group that represents members of the academy and the international community that seeks to develop a clear knowledge and understanding of Caribbean Studies, an interdisciplinary discipline. The Caribbean Studies Forum focuses on a multidisciplinary method, actively uniting the most renowned individuals in the fields of anthropology, the arts, economics, education, folk culture, geography, history, languages‹including Creoles and Pidgins‹linguistics, literature, medicine, music, politics, psychology, religion, and sociology. We especially encourage a cross-disciplinary approach, stressing transnationalism and diversity.
2021 Conference
The Caribbean Studies Forum hosted its 3rd annual international conference (virtual) on November 12, 2021 – 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. (EST)
The Caribbean Studies Forum and its associated conference proceedings strive to advance the understanding of the Caribbean through interdisciplinary study, research, and travel. The CSF is interested in all areas of Caribbean Studies including anthropology, the arts, economics, education, folk culture, geography, history languages, linguistics, literatures, medicine, music, politics, psychology, religion, business, tourism, and sociology.
Theme: Coping with Crises (not limited to Covid-19) in the Caribbean (CCC).
Due to constraints from the pandemic, the conference was conducted virtually.
